Funeral services for Verda M. Vander Hart, 90, of Knoxville, formerly of Pella, who died on Monday, September 24, 2001, at Westridge Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, were held on Thursday, September 27, at Berean Baptist Church in Pella. Rev. D. Stephen Kowbel officiated at the services.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

Verda was born October 18, 1910, in Preston, Iowa. She was the daughter of Maurice and Mary Alice (Frazier) Weetman.

She married Stoffel Vander Hart on February 6, 1938, in Lenox, Iowa. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bernard and Leslie Weetman and a sister, Leola Weetman.

She is survived by her husband, Stoffel Vander Hart of Knoxville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Fran Vander Hart of Knoxville and Dan and Linda Vander Hart of Des Moines; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Kenneth Buff of St. Charles, Mo. and Norma and Carroll Nikkel of Maxwell; and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville.

Arrangements were made by Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
