Edith May Nossaman was born January 22, 1862, and died December 21, 1924, aged 62 years, 11 months and 29 days.

On November 27, 1884, she was united in marriage with Daniel Sytsma, and to this union were born thirteen children, eight girls and five boys of whom eleven are living and tow have passed on. Julia Ann departed this life in infancy in the year 1887, on October 26th, aged two months and 26 days. Violet May died on April 24, 1906, aged 2 years, 11 months and 18 days.

The living children are Mary and Murray, who are still at home; john, whose home is in northern Iowa; and the following who live near home: Albert Sytsma, Vana Peters, Eliza Johns, Cora McCombs, William Sytsma, Muriel Kamerick, Daniel Sytsma and Eva Seaman.

Besides her family, she leaves to mourn her death one brother, John of Tracy, and one sister, Mary DeGeest of Miller, S.D. One brother, Levi, preceded her in death in the year 1911. She was heard some time before her death to say that when the time came for her to go she was ready.

Funeral services were held at one o’clock at the home Monday afternoon December 22, conducted by Rev. J. Heemstra. Interment was at the Porter Grove Cemetery.
