THE GRIM REAPER'S HARVEST
C. DeGeest living 9 miles south east of town was taken down with lung fever two weeks ago and died Tuesday at 6 o'clock a.m. Mr. DeGeest managed a large farm, was 54 years of age and had a nice family of 10 children, 4 of which are married and all live very near the old home. Mr. DeGeest was a very much respected citizen. With his wife and children he leaves his mother, three sisters and 4 brothers to mourn his loss. The funeral was this morning at 10:30 and the remains were laid to rest in the Porterville cemetery.
