Services for Wayne Powell, 64, of Altoona were held on May 30 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Interment was in the Gosport Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wayne passed away on May 26, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He is survived by his mother, Louise Sanders and brothers, Doug Powell and Gary Powell. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Powell.
