Margie Robbins was born July 3, 1924, in Newton, Iowa, to J. Glen and Vera I. (Renner) Robbins. She passed away at the Hospice Comfort House in Pella on Monday, February 6, 2006, at the age of eighty-one years.

Margie grew up in the Newton area and received her education at the Newton Schools. She was a homemaker and employed at a Printing Company for the Blind in Louisville, Kentucky, where she resided at the time.

She is survived by her three children: Diana (Ben) Kroese-Pickett of Des Moines, Linda (Clay) Hoff of Pella, Sandi Rodgers of Newton, and Michael Hummel of Pella; eight grandchildren: Desiree Schultz, Anmarie Rodgers, Joe Rodgers, Brenda Brooks, Brian Mathes, Lori Bochner, Lisa McGraff, and Jason Kroese; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William "Bill" Maple, in 2000; a brother, Don Robbins; and sister, Mary Lou Kolfswchoten.

There was no service. Arrangements were made by the Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
