I am trying to obtain any information reguarding William Thrash and Catey Lester and their children: Samuel born 1816 in Va.; John born 1818 in Dearborn IN; and Hester Thrash Miles (my ggggrandmother)born 1820 Dearborn, IN. Need documentation of relationships. "A" Samuel Thrash signed for Hester to obtain a Black Hawk War Pension for her husband Elisha Miles in Jefferson CO., IA dated 1894. At that time she was a resident of Fairfield in Jefferson CO., Ia. A Mary J Thrash and a Kate M. Jones also signed the pension application. Any newspaper articles or obituaries for William, Samuel or John might be helpful. Hester and Elisha also lived, died and are buried in Kearny, NE. along with some of their children and grand children.
