I know that Edward DeLong (1790-1848) and his wife Rachel Baker DeLong (1800-1859) lived in Mahaska County, Iowa beginning about 1842. It appears they are both buried at a "DeLong cemetery" in Garfield Twp.

My question is whether any other county in Iowa has a Garfield Twp. One source has told me that Rachel DeLong died in Garfield Twp., WASHINGTON COUNTY, Iowa, but I feel that must be an error as it would appear that she died in Mahaska Co.

Also, if you have any more specific information on their real estate property I would appreciate it.
