MAHASKA CO. - EVANS & OSKALOOSA FAMILIES

HUDAK, KLOBNAK, KLOBNACK, POHLAD, POHLOD, SODAK, SOTAK

I am searching for relatives and descendants of the HUDAK, KLOBNAK, (KLOBNACK), POHLAD, (POHLOD), SODAK, (SOTAK) families who immigrated from eastern SLOVAKIA (then part of HUNGARY) during the 1880s and 1890s to work in the coal mines of MAHASKA COUNTY. The families lived in or around EVANS and OSKALOOSA, IOWA. Some of the family members migrated to the VALLEY JUNCTION / WEST DES MOINES area of POLK CO. in the early part of the 20th Century.
