Jacob Koogler was married to my gr-gr grandfather's sister, Nancy Ankeney. Nancy's sister, Hester Anne, married William Greene. These two families, along with my gr-gr grandfather, Henry Ankeney, relocated to Mahaska County, IA in 1854. Jacob and nancy had no children of their own, rather they raised at least one adopted nephew. Both Jacob and Nancy are buried in Wymore Cemetery, Mahaska Co, IA
