Cora G. Heimendinger, 89, of Des Moines and formerly a long-time resident of Oskaloosa, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Des Moines. The body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday morning, June 16, in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Lanny Tuttle officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at 11:30 a.m. at a reception at Central United Methodist Church's fellowship hall. Memorials: Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa. Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements.
Cora Heimendinger lived in Oskaloosa until moving to Des Moines four years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa, and P.E.O.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Hines of Des Moines; a son, Michael Heimendinger of Gonzales, La.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Heimendinger. (The Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
