Orville Leland Bellows, 87, of 508 Fifth Ave. W., died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1986. He was born Oct. 8, 1899 at New Sharon, the son of Elbert and Minnie Ogle Bellows.
He married Mabel Love on Sept. 16, 1923 in Oskaloosa.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Wilma Carr of Oskaloosa; a granddaughter, Dixie (Mrs. Roger) Parks of Oskaloosa; three great-grandsons: Jeff of Chicago, Ill., Scot of Maqouketa, and Tony from Oskaloosa; and a sister, Frances Long of Elgin, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard; and a sister Hazel Holloway.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Garland-Van Arkel Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Ortmann officiating, assisted by Pat Davis of the Oskaloosa Missionary Church. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery (Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
