George Edwin Dursky, 71, of Rural Route 3, Oskaloosa, died Friday, Sept. 5, 1986 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born Feb. 10, 1915 in Evans to Michael and Anna Katko Dursky.
He married Bettie Mae Cummings on May 5, 1945 in Oskaloosa. He was a grower for the Holub Greenhouse for many years.
He is survived by his wife Bettie; one son, Edwin "Ed" G. of Oskaloosa; one granddaughter; and one brother, Albert of Oskaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Millie Gregory and Anna Walraven; and three brothers: Frank, John and Joe.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Garland-Van Arkel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Main of the St. Paul Congregational Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral chapel from 7 - 8 p.m. tonight to greet friends and relatives. (Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
