Margaret B. Pierson, 90, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1986 at the Mahaska Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 10, 1896 in Oskaloosa, the daughter of John D. and Maggie S. Robertson Byers.
She married Clifford C. Pierson Feb. 3, 1920 at Oskaloosa. He died Nov. 26, 1966. She lived in Oskaloosa most of her life except when she resided in Arizona from June 1962 until March 1981. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, N.A.R.F.E. and W.C.T.U.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Indianapolis, Ind. and John E. Pierson, of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Frances) Hyde of Oskaloosa; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Raymond B.; one grandson; and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Peter Fribley officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday and the family will be at the Funeral home Thursday from 7-8 p.m. (Oskaloosa Herald, date unknown)
