Ralph Darwin Hite, 82, of Oskaloosa died Saturday, May 9, 1987 at the Pleasant Park Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 13, 1904 near Taintor, the son of Thomas Gordon Hite and Russia C. McIntire. He was employed by Iowa Valve for over 25 years. He married Ava Faulkner June 2, 1931 in Oskaloosa. He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Willard of Seattle, Wash.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, on June 29, 1982 in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Milo Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. The family will receive visitors from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church (The Oskaloosa Herald, May 11, 1987)
