Marilyn DeVault Glattly, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 6 in Carson City, Nev. The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ in Oskaloosa. Memorials may be made to the church. She was born March 26, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to William W. and Ruth Potter Adams. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1943, and from William Penn College in 1963. She married Homer DeVault on Aug. 20, 1949. He died July 31, 1977. She married Bob Glattly on Jan. 3, 1933 [sic], and moved to Zephyr Cove, Nev. She taught lower elementary grades in Searsboro and Ottumwa, and retired from teaching in Ottumwa. She is survived by her husband, Bob Glattly; and sisters Jean L. Adams of Edina, Minn., and Anne McLandsborough of Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her mother. (newspaper clipping believed to be from The Oskaloosa Herald, n.d.)
