Raymond J. McGriff. Funeral services for Raymond Joseph McGriff were held Wednesday, January 19, 1977, at Behrens Funeral Home in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Raymond J. McGriff, 59, passed away Saturday, January 15, 1977, at his home in Hermosa, South Dakota.

He was born April 11, 1917 in Darwin, Minnesota, the son of Mary Elizabeth (Whitehead) McGriff and Joseph Cleveland McGriff, who have preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is an infant daughter, two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude McGriff; one sister, Maxine Barker of Bellingham, Washington; three brothers: William McGriff of New Sharon, Alvie McGriff of Montezuma, and his twin brother, Richard McGriff, of New Sharon.

Raymond spent most of his life in South Dakota, where he was a rancher until his health failed and he moved to Hermosa, South Dakota in 1974.

He was laid to rest in the Black Hawk Cemetery at Black Hawk, South Dakota, on January 19, 1977.

He leaves a host of relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
