Forrest D. Rhodes, 83, of Fremont died April 12, 1998, at his home.

He was born May 17, 1914, in Bloomfield to Clyde E. and Gertrude Wright Rhodes. He married Ruby Hart Pohlson in 1946. He served in the South Pacific during World War II from April 1941 to June 1945. He worked for the town of Fremont until he retired in 1981.

He is survived by three sons, Tom, Dan and Jon; five grandchildren; and three great granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Athyl, T.L. "Jiggs", Kenneth and Charles.

The body was cremated and will be interred in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum. Private services will be held at a later date.
