Hyett, 83, Dies at Clear Lake Lived With Daughter, Mrs. Richard Hanley

CLEAR LAKE - N. Smith Hyett, 83, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Hanley, 1036 N. Clausen Street, Monday morning of the frailties of age. He had lived with his daughter for 2 years, coming from Oskaloosa where he spent most of his life.

Mr. Hyett was born at Summerfield, Ohio, Jan 26, 1864, son of Philip and Margaret Young Hyett, and came to Iowa as a young man. His wife died about 11 years ago. Besides Mrs. Hanley he is survived by 2 other daughters, Mrs. C. B. Hill, Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Oscar Bjornson, Rock Island, Ill; 2 sons, Roy Hyett, Chicago, and Guy Hyett, National Mines, Mich., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

The body was taken to Wayne funeral home and was to be taken by train Tuesday evening to New Sharon where funeral services were planned for Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be at New Sharon.

NOTE - Mr. Hyett was married to the former Anna Stephens.
