Arvene (Tom) Mick

Arvene "Tom" Mick, 68, 609 Fourth Ave. E., died Thursday evening at Mahaska County Hospital.

He was born in Keokuk County June 4, 1909, the son of Charles Franklin and Edna Marie Young Mick.

On Sept. 19, 1943 he married Florence Ramey in Lancaster, Mo. She survives.

He was a retired employee of the M. & St. O. Railroad and has made his home in Oskaloosa for the past 34 years.

He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Veterans of World War II, the American Legion, Council Lodge A.F. & A.M. and Vega Chapter O.E.S.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Dr. George Sheils officiating and burial in Forest Cemetery at Oskaloosa with Masonic services at graveside.
