McMAHON – Uriah McMahon, residing in Pleasant Grove township, near Barnes City, a veteran of Co. C, 40th Iowa Inft., and one of the earliest settlers in that community, died Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock, Aug. 31, 1915. He was stricken with paralysis Saturday morning and survived three days. He leaves a widow and three children: Mrs. Harter of New Sharon, Mrs. Graham of Barnes City and John McMahon, living on the home place. Funeral services were conducted at the Union Mills church Thursday at 3 o’clock.
