Mrs. W. J. Carey
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma I. Carey, 92, of 2458 Sixth Ave. W., will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Queen Anne Chapel of Arthur A. Wright & Son. Cremation will follow. Mrs. Carey died Friday. Her husband, Sgt. W. J. Carey of the Seattle Police Department, died in 1944. Born in Rose Hill, Iowa, Mrs. Carey moved to Seattle in 1907. Mrs. Carey was a charter member and past matron of the Mecca Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order of Amaranth and Daughters of the Nile. She was a past president of the B.L.F. & E. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harold J. Gunter, and a sister, Mrs. Earl J. Vanatta, both of Des Moines, Iowa.
