Ethel Jane PERRY, 85 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, December 26, at 4:00 a.m. at the Mahaska Manor Nursing Home in Oskaloosa.

The daughter of John Cornelius and Etta VAN BUSKIRK ALBERTSON, she was born May 21, 1897 south of Fremont and lived in the Fremont community all of her life.

She was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church and the Just-A-Mere Club.

On January 25, 1921, she was united in marriage with Walter Perry, south of Fremont. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1970.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Linford and Harly [sic].

Services were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Lynn Ryon officiating. Burial was in Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

A memorial fund has been established by the family payable to the Cancer Society.

Pallbearers were Neil and Kerry Albertson, Paul Franklin, Thomas Johnson and Kay and Rex Hedge.
