Death came Monday, March 13th to Mrs. H.A. ALBERTSON of Fremont [Cedar Twp., Mahaska Co., IA] at St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa [Wapello Co., IA], after a lengthy illness with cancer. She had surgery two and one half years ago, and in spite of circumstances she fought for life and always had a cheery and hopeful outlook on the situation, She was never one to complain and had kept up her church work and her home as long as possible. She had returned to the St. Joseph hospital only a week before death, as her desire was to remain in her home as long as she could.

Rena was born Dec. 9, 1894 in Mahaska County [IA], the daughter of Judson C. and Jenny MARTIN TRIPLETT. She married Harley ALBERTSON Sept. 15, 1915 at Fremont. She had lived in Fremont all her life and was an active member of the Mahaska Chapter No. 147 Order of Eastern Star, the Garden club, and of course her church work was a vital part of her life. She taught a Sunday School class for many years and only recently gave it up. She graduated from Fremont high school in 1915.

Surviving are her husband, Harley A.ALBERTSON, two sons, Kenneth L. of near Cedar [Mahaska Co., IA] and Clair on the home farm south of Fremont. Also four grandchildren, Dennis and Sherry, children of the Kenneth Albertsons, Neil and Kerry, sons of the Clair Albertsons. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Maurice Jessie PROFITT of Amarillo, TX and one brother, J.H. TRIPLETT of Marshalltown [IA].

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Fremont Baptist church with the Rev. Leonard Wilson in charge. Burial was in Cedar township cemetery [Mahaska Co., IA].
