Sarah Eliza WARNER was born in Ohio 28 October 1846. When about 7 years of age she came with her parents to Mahaska county, Iowa, where she has since resided.

Early in life she was converted to God and untied with the Methodist Episcopal church at Kirkville [Wapello Co., IA]. Later she moved her membership to the Cedar Methodist Episcopal church. She lived a beautiful and Christian life until her passing. He lover her church and Sunday school of which she was a faithful attendant when strength would permit.

On October 5th, 1865 she united in marriage with Wm. Boyd; to this union five children were born; Mrs. Mary E. PICKENS of Champaign, IL, Mrs. Dora McFALL of Oskaloosa [Mahaska Co., IA], James BOYD of Cedar [Mahaska Co., IA], Mrs. Nellie N. LEE of Kirkville and Jessie E., who preceded her to the future world.

her companion, Wm. BOYD preceded to her the better world 14 years ago.

After a brief illness she went to be with Jesus October 10th 1934 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 12 days. Besides the above named children she leaves to mourn 9 grandchildren, 6 great grand children and a large circle of friends. She was a faithful companion, a loving mother and a kind friend, a great lover of her church and home and will be greatly missed by the community.

Appropriate services were held at the Cedar M.E. church, her pastor, Rev. J. E. Ward officiating. Interment in the Kirkville cemetery.
