Agnes Foster, daughter of Caleb and Malila Foster, was born near Kirkville, Wapello County, Iowa, November 22, 1860 and died at the Mahaska Hospital, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Monday morning April 6, 1931, age 70 years, 4 months and 6 days. She was of a family of ten children, all of whom preceded her in death, save one brother, George H. Foster of Wagoner, Ok. On July 8, 1882 she was united in marriage to H. G. Moore, and to this union were born four children: Sina, now the wife of T. R. McOonough of Lacey; Belle, the wife of Ray Witt of Cedar; and John F. and Eldon of Cedar. Her husband, two daughters and the two sons survive and were at her bedside during her last hours of illness. The brother, George H. Foster, came for the funeral. Seven grandchildren survive. When but a girl of 13 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Kirkville. When the family moved to Cedar she transferred her church membership to that place and was a consistent member. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Cedar Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. W. Cochran. Burial was made in the Kirkville cemetery.
