LOUIE MOORE

FREMONT - Mrs. Louie Moore, 93, of Cedar, died at the Mahaska County Hospital Tuesday evening. She was born Jan. 9, 1891, near Wright, the daughter of William and Minnie A. Campbell Rice. She was a graduate of the Penn Academy.

On Feb. 21, 1917, she married Austin Eldon Moore at her family's home near Wright. He died Oct. 27, 1966.

She was a member of the Oskaloosa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mahaska County Historical Society and the Cedar United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Moore of Cedar, Glen Moore of Irving, Texas and Clifford Moore of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Mr. {*} Fred (Ada) Phillips of Fremont; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Cedar United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lynn Ryon officiating. Burial will be at the Westview Cemetery near Kirkville.

The family will be at the funeral chapel today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for visitation.

Memorials may be designated to the Fremont Rescue Unit or the Cedar United Methodist Church.

The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
