AREA DEATHS
A. E. MOORE

CEDAR -- A. E. (Eldon) Moore, 73, retired Cedar farmer, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines at 11:55 p.m. Thursday; where he had been a patient for two days. He had been hospitalized at Mahaska county hospital in Oskaloosa for ten days.

The son of Horace Greeley and Agnes Foster Moore, born Sept. 20, 1893, at Cedar. Lived in the Cedar community his entire life. Married Louie Rice on Feb. 21, 1917, near Wright. Member of Mahaska County Historical Society; on board of directors of Fremont Burial Association for over 30 years.

Survivors: widow; one daughter, Ada Phillips, of Fremont, three sons, Harold of Cedar, Glen of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Clifford of Phoenix, Ariz two sisters, Mrs. Ida Bell Witt of Cedar and Mrs. Sina McDonough of Oskaloosa; 8 grand children.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiating. Burial at Westview Cemetery at Kirkville.
