The New Sharon Star, January 14, 1943. Obituary. Eveline Douglas MINCER passed away at her home near New Sharon, Iowa, January 9, 1943, at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was born in Union Township, Mahaska County, June 4, 1860, on the old homestead, entered by her grandfather MINCER, and where she has lived most of her life. She was one of a family of eight children. On January 13, 1876, she was married to Wells Rowland ANDREWS. To this union, nine children were born, five sons and four daughters, the oldest, William Raymond, having died in infancy. She is survivied by her four daughters: Louvina Jane, now Mrs. Alfred E. ALLGOOD of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Winona, now Mrs. T.E. McDONOUGH of New Sharon, Iowa; Cora Maude, now Mrs. George RUBY of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Laura Gladys, who is at home. Her four sons: Alfred Roy of New Sharon, Iowa; Charles Earl of Ansley, Nebraska; Harry Oliver of New Sharon, Iowa; Clyde Richard of Lamont, Iowa. Her 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Jennie, now Mrs. Will LAWSON of Jewell, Kansas. At an early age, she was baptized into the Centenary Methodist Church of which she was a faithful member throughout her life. She was a sympathetic friend, a helpful neighbor, and a loving wife and mother who gave unsparingly of herself to those she loved. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Union Mills Christian Church with Rev. Forrest HEBRON of Ladora in charge. Burial was made in the Union Mills Cemetery.
