ELLA KENNEDY MACUMBER

A native of Brown County, Ohio, and a resident of Madison County since 1901, Ella K. Macumber died Monday July 19, 1976, at Madison Manor North nursing home in Winterset. She was 94 years old.

Ella Macumber was born September 24, 1881, the daughter of Ira Kennedy and Fidilla (Abbott) Kennedy. She married Ora Macumber on April 24, 1906, in Winterset.

A housewife, Mrs. Macumber was affiliated with the Ord Christian Church and was a charter member of the Clover Club since 1913. She taught Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Iris Macumber, Dayton, Ohio, and Ruth Follmer, Stanley, Iowa and a son Avery W. Macumber of Winterset.

Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Macumber was preceded in death by her husband Ora, on February 18, 1946 and by her parents and four sisters.

Funeral services for Ella Macumber were conducted Thursday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, Rev. Paul Hann presiding.

Burial was made at the Clark Cemetery in Madison County.
