Death of Allen B. Moorman

Allen B. Moorman, a former resident of Winterset, died Sunday, May 5th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Williams, in Des Moines. Mr. Moorman lived in Winterset for forty-three years, but moved to Des Moines in 1918.

Brief funeral services were held at 12:30 o'clock, Wednesday, at Hamilton & Powers funeral home in Des Moines, and longer services were conducted by the Rev. A. P. Keast, at the Methodist church in Winterset at 2:30 o'clock.

Mr. Moorman leaves his widow, his daughters, Mrs. Williams; three sons, C. W. Moorman of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and F. H. and C. E. Moorman, both of Des Moines. He also leaves one brother, H. D. Moorman, of Reed, Missouri.

DEATH COMES TO BROOKS MOORMAN

Brooks Moorman, 84 years old, former Winterset resident, died Monday in Des Moines at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Williams. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, and two sons, Edward and Frank, all of whom live in Des Moines.

Mr. Moorman lived in Winterset about 33 years, the family moving here from Ohio township. He was for many years janitor of the Methodist church and also of the city library. He left here in 1918 to go to Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Winterset at the Methodist church conducted by the rev. A. P. Keast.
