Lora Beck Willcox, wife of Orville C. Willcox of Winterset, died Tuesday, July 11, 1978, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 73 years old.

The daughter of John C. and Floss Stewart Beck, Mrs. Willcox was born December 27, 1904, in Madison County. She lived here her lifetime and was a housewife.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Her marriage to O. C. Willcox took place September 4, 1926, in Adel. The couple had no children.

Survivors include her husband, Orville; three nieces, Karen (Zendzian) Mansur of New Jersey, Linn (Beck) Gable of Miami, Fla. and Barbara (Beck) Adams of Tulsa, Okla. Also surviving is a sister, Marguerite Zendzian of Milwaukee, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stewart.

Funeral services for Lora Willcox were conducted Friday, July 14, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home with burial at the Winterset Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Alan Parker of Winterset and Rev. Jerry Evelsizer, First United Presbyterian Church of Pitzer.
