Death of Mrs. Robert Jones

Mrs. Robert J. Jones, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Z. Nugent, died last Wednesday, July 31st, in Des Moines, following a short illness.

She attended the schools at New London, the Iowa Wesleyan college at Mt. Pleasant, where she took music, and also had 2-1/2 years of nurse's training at the Mercy hospital, in Des Moines. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge, and Pythian Sisters, and the Presbyterian church.

On July 12, 1913, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Jones, of Ida Grove, and to this union was born one son, Robert Jr.

She leaves besides her husband and nine year old son, her father J. Z. Nugent; sisters, Mrs. F. R. Mehler of New London; Mrs. Homer Prettyman and Mrs. Ethey Knuckey of Buenos Aires, South America, and a brother, Will Nugent, of Eureka, California.

Funeral services were conducted Friday morning at 10 o'clock at Harback's funeral home in Des Moines, the Rev. Elton Miller officiating. Burial was made at New London.

Mrs. Robert J. Jones

Genevieve Nugent, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Nugent, was born in New London, Iowa, October 31st, 1893.

She attended the New London schools, Iowa Wesleyan College at Mt. Pleasant, where she was a student of the music department. She studied nurses training for 2-1/2 years at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines.

On July 12th, 1913, she was married to R. J. Jones, of Ida Grove, Iowa. They lived at Keota, Iowa, Madison, Wisconsin and Des Moines before coming to Winterset.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Winterset. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Pythian Sister lodges.

She passed away July 31st, at Des Moines. Burial was at New London, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, R. J. Jones, son Robert Junior, father, J. T. Nugent, sisters, Mrs. F. R. Mehler, of New London, Mrs. Homer Prettyman and Mrs. Ethel Knuckey, of Buenos Aires, South America, and a brother, Will Nugent of Eureka, California.

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock, Friday, August 2d, at the Harbach Funeral Home, in Des Moines, and burial was in New London.
