GENEVIEVE HART, Winterset

Genevieve Hart, 92, died Jan. 3, 2006, at Winterset Care Center South. A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Pastor Bobb Barrick and the Rev. Bill Branson, officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Gen Hart was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Madison County to Charles Henry and Myrtle Mae (Ford) Kuntz. On Dec. 15, 1934, she married Floyd Drake Hart in Savannah, Mo. Gen, a homemaker, had spent her lifetime in Madison County, moving to Winterset 10 years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Alpha Omega Sorority, Sweet Adelines, Columbian Club and WSCS.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Kuntz, and a sister, Helen Howell.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd, of Winterset; one son, John C. Hart of Winterset; one daughter, Lois Thompson of Winterset; a brother, Fred Kuntz of Des Moines; a sister, Ruth Hart of Winterset; and seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice in Winterset or Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
