Mr. O. B. Bissell, of Penn township, died at his home last Saturday, after a serious illness. Mr. Bissell was an early settler in Madison county, and has always been rated as one of its most enterprising, active and energetic citizens, a noble upright man, a good neighbor, a man whose best devotions were his family and friends. He was the representative from Madison county in the legislature in 1874.

Died, in this vicinity, Feb. 22, O. B. Bissell, the oldest settler in this part of this country, having come here in the 50’s. His remains were interred in the Penn Center cemetery. He leaves a wife and five sons to mourn their loss.
