Gladys Dennis Rites Thursday

Gladys Marie Dennis of R. R. 1, Peru, died Monday, Nov. 3, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 63. She was a life-long resident of Madison County.

Born on July 21, 1917, in Madison County, she was the daughter of Clifford and Winifred Frazier Robison. She was united in marriage to Floyd Dennis on April 23, 1939, in Winterset, and her husband survives her. A member of the First Christian Church, Mrs. Dennis was a clerk at the United Food Grocery Store.

Also surviving are a brother, Curtis Robison of Indianola; two sisters, Meritta Simmons of Winterset and Muriel Johnson of Golden, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Andrew.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. David Livingston officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
