Services Held For PEARLE HARTFIELD

Pearle E. Hartfield of rural Prole died Thursday, October 18, 1979, at Des Moines General Hospital at the age of 81. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 22, at Collins Funeral Home.

Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson with Rev. Scott Grotewold officiating.

The daughter of Benjamin and Elzina Davis Taylor, she was born on December 2, 1897 in Madison County. She was married to Thomas Hartfield who survives her on September 18, 1919 in Madison County. A lifelong resident here, Mrs. Hartfield was a member of the Patterson Methodist Church and a past member of the Farm Bureau.

Also surviving are two children, Lawrence Hartfield of Winterset and Norma Wilkinson of Ankeny; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a brother, Clifton Taylor of Winterset. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great grandson.
