Death of LYDA ERGENBRIGHT

The death of Miss Lyda Ergenbright occurred on Friday, July 7th, at the home of her brother, John Ergenbright, in Shannon City.

Born in Indiana in 1849, she came to Marion county with her parents at the age of ten years and in 1865 moved to Madison county, which has since been her home. Her health had been failing for over a year, a wasting disease finally causing her death. Miss Ergenbright was a sister of the late Mrs. Joseph Betts, both spending many years in the art of fine dress making in Winterset.

The funeral services were held in Shannon City Sunday, July 9th, with burial in the Barney cemetery.
