MRS. MARY HOLTON BURIED AT MACKSBURG

Mrs. Mary J. Holton died Thursday, April 24, at the home of her son, Sylvester Holton of Winterset. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Holton, a daughter of Abraham and Sarah Kalar, was born at Smithfield, Ill., on March 1, 1877. When she was 2 years old she was brought to Union county, Iowa, where she lived until her marriage to Jess Holton in 1900.

Her husband died in 1929, and a son, Virgil, preceded her in death. She leaves the son, Sylvester Holton of Winterset; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Young of Creston and Mrs. Nellie Jenkins of Winterset; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Abe Kalar of Afton and Charles Kalar of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Elma Porter of Cromwell.

Funeral services were held April 27 from the Macksburg Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Nagal, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy. Burial was made in Moon cemetery.
