CAROLINE N. TIBBEN, Johnston

Caroline N. Tibben, 81, died September 17, 1993 at the Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston. A funeral mass was held September 20 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny with Father Richard Gubbels officiating. Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Mrs Tibben was born June 28, 1912 in Des Moines, and married Merlin Tibben June 29, 1943. She spent her life as a homemaker and mother. They farmed near Patterson from 1963-1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers,one sister and a grandson.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Frank Tibben and wife, Marilyn of Truro; Merlin Tibben, Jr. of Johnston; and two daughters, Kay L'Estrange and husband John of Slater, and Yolanda Chitwood of Fond du Lac, Wisc. and eight grandchildren.
