JIM TINDLE, ARISPE

Jim Tindle, 82, of Arispe, died April 12, 1995 at his home. Funeral services were April 14 at the Stroud-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Afton. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiated the services with burial at the Clearfield Cemetery.

He was born March 9, 1913 to Ralph Emmett and Lola (Routh) Tindle. He married Ruth Elnora Dorff on Oct. 21, 1933 in Osceola who passed away in 1985. He later married Nadene Stretch in Diagonal on May 15, 1987. He had been a long-time resident of Union County until moving to Arispe in 1957. He had been a farmer and a feed salesman. He had attended the United Methodist Church in Afton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife Nadene of Arispe; one son, Dr. M. J. Tindle and wife Toni of Winterset; one brother, Dr. C. E. Tindle and wife Margaret of Osceola; two step-daughters, Maxine Gaiser and husband Mel of Afton, and Kathy Hammons and husband David of Des Moines; two grandsons; and 12 step-grandchilcren.
