Robert Cain, Winterset

Robert Walter Cain, 90, died of cancer May 15, 2002, at Winterset Care Center North.

Graveside services were held Friday, May 17, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor Alex Bauman officiating.

Bob Cain was born June 25, 1911, to Samuel F. and Eleanor Belle (Sheppard) Cain of Lovilia. He married Mildred Loraine Jones on Oct. 16, 1939, in Rockford, Ill. Bob was a retired farmer, real estate agent and insurance agent. He had resided in the Winterset and Peru areas for the past 60 years. His memberships included Grace Baptist Church and New Hope Christian Union Church, both of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers and seven sisters.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Baptist Church or New Hope Christian Union Church, both of Winterset.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
