WILLIAM B. CAIN DIED ON THURSDAY

William B. Cain, former resident of Madison county, died last Thursday, Feb. 14, at the age of 64 years.

Mr. Cain was a son of John and Amanda Salisbury Cain. He was born in Madison county on Jan. 1, 1898, and spent his early life here.

He was a veteran of World War I, having served as a member of Winterset's Company A, 168th Infantry regiment, in the 42nd or Rainbow division.

He is survived by a son, Stanley Cain, and a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Bagley. He also leaves two sisters, Elizabeth Cain of Omaha and Mrs. Pearl Kirkland of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral hoome in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with military honors by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
