Mrs. Donna Ramsey of Webster Dies

Widow of Late Dr. Ramsey Passes in Hospital at Creston

Mrs. Donna Belle Ramsey, life-long resident of the Webster community, 12 miles west of Winterset, died at the Greater Community hospital in Creston last Wednesday, Jan. 28, after a long illness. She was 77 years of age.

Mrs. Ramsey was the daughter of Rufus and Harriett Ulery, and was born in Adair county, Sept. 19, 1871. In 1889 she was married to Dr. A. Ramsey. They established their home in Webster and she spent her active life there. Doctor Ramsey died in 1935.

Mrs. Ramsey was well known in both Madison and Adair counties. She had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1896.

Surviving are her four children: Fred Ramsey of Council Bluffs and Worth and Lyle Ramsey and Mrs. Bernice Jickling, all of Winterset. She also leaves six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Friday at the Webster church, in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed of Tingley. Burial was made in the cemetery there.
