Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home for Clarence Alonzo (Lon) Clark, 89, who died Sunday Nov. 19, 1978, at Care Center North where he was a resident.
He was born December 11, 1888, in Polk County, Iowa, the son of Albert and Ida McKinney Clark. A resident of Madison County since 1913, Mr. Clark had retired from farming and was affiliated with the First Christian Church.
The marriage of Lon Clark to Edna Doan took place February 23, 1913, in Winterset. She survives her husband. Other survivors include a daughter, Catherine Kilpatrick of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Feeney of Beaverton, Oregon, Mrs. Winnie Nickle of Carlisle, Ia.; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Officiating at Wednesday's funeral was Rev. David Livingston. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
