Harry Sage, who spent most of his life as a farmer in Madison county, died Monday, July 6, at the Greater Community hospital in Creston, after a brief illness. He was 67 years of age.
Mr. Sage was a native of Adams, county, where he was born at Corning on Sept. 5, 1885. When he was 14 years of age, he came to Madison county, living here until 11 years ago, when he moved to a farm north of Creston.
He was married Jan. 1, 1907, to Susie Rhoads, who survives him. They were parents of two children, one of them, a son, dying in infancy.
In addition to his wife, he leaves the daughter, Mrs. James Abrahams, three grandchildren; a brother, Ray Sage of Ogilvie, Minn; and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Harden and Mrs. Ed Rogers of Morgan, Minn. and Mrs. Ray Robinson of Peru.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Earl Travis, pastor of the Ord Christian Union church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
