BARBARA MCKENZIE

Barbara McKenzie, 65, of Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. A private burial will be Saturday at Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Mrs. McKenzie was born in Detroit and lived in Des Moines 50 years. She was a retired lab technician with Veterans Medical Center and Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Her memberships included New Hope United Methodist Church and American Association of Clinical Pathologists.

She is survived by two daughters, Kris Karn and Kelli Jury and a son Robert all of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
