Services for Gerald Weeks, 69, Winterset, who died Feb. 2 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County Sept. 9, 1917, he was the son of L. D. and Luella (Cain) Weeks. He was a farmer and a lifetime resident of Madison County. On Feb. 28, 1942, he married Velma Leander at Plattsburg, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve and wife Patty of Winterset; a brother, Russell of Lorimor; and two grandchildren, Angela and Jessica Weeks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

WINTERSET, IA. —Services for Gerald Weeks, 69, of Winterset, who died of a heart attack Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery.
Mr. Weeks was born in Madison County and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Velma; a son, Steven of Winterset; a brother, Russell of Lorimor; and two grandchildren.
