Mary Elizabeth Henderson, 90, died April 30, 2003, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Services were held Monday, May 5, at Northcrest Retirement Community Green Room with the Rev. D. Stephen McDuff officiating. Burial of the cremains was at Winterset Cemetery.

Mary Henderson was born April 18, 1913, to Joseph and Sadie (McKee) Redburn of Dexter. On Nov. 28, 1935, she was united in marriage to Mahlon R. Henderson in Stuart. Mary, a homemaker, had resided for the past 16 years in Ames. She also lived in Winterset for 22 years and Des Moines for 30 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational in Ames and P.E.O. Chapter, LN, Ames. She also had been a Mary Greeley volunteer.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Eleanor Roberts; and a brother, William Redburn.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Kingery of Littleton, Colo., a son, Bill Henderson of Surprise, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home in Ames.
