DOROTHY GOOD Died Friday

Mrs. William T. Good, one of Winterset's well-known residents during the past 32 years, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1972, at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs. Good came to Winterset in 1940 with her husband, and they had operated the Good bakery here since that time. During her residence here she took an active part in the affairs of the community. She was a past president of the Parent-Teacher association in the Winterset schools, was active in the Winterset Art center, and a member of the Iowa Genealogical sociey. She was a past president of the P.E.O. here, and member of the Progressive Study club.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian church at Winterset.

Mrs. Good was the former Dorothy Howe, daughter of Charles R. and Emma Anderson Howe. She was born at Spencer on Nov. 26, 1907.

She attended Grinnell College at Grinnell, and served as a school teacher at Webb, Mapleton and Clear Lake. On June 14, 1937, she was married to William T. Good, who survives her.

In addition to her husband, she leaves four sons, Stephen H. Good of Ottumwa, Douglas I. Good of Akron, O., Thomas A. Good of Houston, Tex., and Gregory G. Good of Seattle, Wash.; and a daughter, Deborah Good of Kansas City, Mo.,

She also leaves five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Charles R. Howe of Spencer; two brothers, Harold H. Howe of Spencer and John A. Howe of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Nielsen of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held this Monday from the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter Samp of this community. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
