Hazel Berneice Haymond, 90, of Winterset, died July 18, 2004, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Graveside services were held today (Wednesday July 21) at Winterset Cemetery with Dr. John Shaull officiating.

Hazel Haymond was born Dec. 18, 1913 in Benton County, Ark., to Ed Milton and Nora Berneice (Danford) Goodson. She had resided in Oklahoma before moving to Winterset in 1929. On Dec. 21, 1932, she married Eugene Haymond in Maryville, Mo. Hazel had worked at Winterset Care Center North as a physical therapist for several years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Irvin Goodson; and a sister, Garnett Goodson.

She is survived by one son, Bill Haymond of Omaha, Neb., one daughter, Betty L. Bumbarger of Winterset; a brother, Eddie Goodson of Oklahoma City, Okla., a sister, Norma Hudson of Palm Desert Calif., and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
